Went to one of my little tucked away places today for about an hour, Its a place where some foundations are, mid 1800s,... been here a few times but never found much. Today I get a solid signal about 6" down.
Seems to be a door knocker, maybe from a coat rack who knows, but the top spindal has a few dings in it like ai was used for a knocker, the first two pictures are before cleaning it, last three are from after.

enjoy the pics

That is really cool looking. It looks like it would be just a small decorative piece that would go on a wall or maybe a shelf. I love stuff like that. Nice find and around Halloween.

Well its all one piece, it doesnt pivit or turn or anything, the top is all smooth and rounded, so the only thing that comes to mind is a door knocker, or from a coat rack,

That is one cool looking piece. I'd hang that on the wall right above my doll head collection. And so close to Halloween!

Definitely a hook from a hat rack. The long "hook" would hold your hat without crushing it.

that is bad ass

Ebeneezaaaaah, Ebeneeeezah Scrooge! Oh, humbug! I rest in my assurance that it was
only my imagination.....

I swear that looks like the doorknocker that scared Scrooge, man that is AWESOME!!!!

Thanks people , yeah i really had no idea what to make of it when i pulled it from the ground. It kinda creeped me out at first. But a little brasso shined him up pretty good.
