Found on East coast USA on the beach near erosion earlier this year. It's heavy. 47.95 grams. Not sure what it's made of, copper, brass or bronze maybe? It's hallow. Cleaned it up a little.

The threaded side is 18mm wide - 44mm long - thin side is 13 mm wide

Is it a garden hose nozzle? Seems kind of small for that...

Most garden hose Nozzles have a female connection. This one has a male . It is some kind of nozzle though. Wire brush off the threads and see if it screws into a female connection of a garden hose

This piece looks to have been nickel plated at some point, I can't recall ever seeing a nickel-plated garden nozzle before. :icon_scratch:

A hose nozzle or a sprayer nozzle of some sort seems to make the most sense based on it's size.

looks like it might be to attach a hose to a sink faucet
remove the aerator and screw it in
like on a sink in a science room

Looks similar but not identical to a Bedford Hose Fitting 12-303 7964. Because I'm unable to attach a picture, Google that phrase to see it.

It is too small to fit a standard garden hose.

Been in auto parts biz for about 19 yrs.
Because of the short thread length I think it is something automotive/marine.
Late 20's and into the 30's heaters were coming to vogue. Could be the engine tap for heater. Most heaters were not factory then. Many manufacturers.
