Today was a fun day! We got up and hit a few sales and scored a few keepers. I picked up this art-deco/machine age desk lamp for $5. It should fetch over $40. I got this carved wooden box with a date of '52 inside it for $1, just because I liked it. Any info about it? I also picked up this old amber canning jar marked "GEO W HELME CO OF NEW JERSEY PATENTED JULY 16 1872" FOR $3. I got this art-deco set of Chase Skyway saturn salt and pepper shakers from 1939-1942 for 25cents. I picked up the clock, celt, marble bag, and pottery cat effigy?? for $112 at another sale. The walnut Ingraham clock works well, is dated 1879, and has an hourly chime, single chime on the half, and a separate alarm chime which I have yet to figure out how to set. There is one just like it on goantiques.com for $430.00. I don't think I'm selling it. My wife is of the same opinion .
