Galveston, TX beach(s) question???

Thinking about making a trip to Galveston and or Freeport, TX (Stewart/Surfside) beach for a hunt. Are there any restrictions, permit requirements, etc? Don't want to violate an ordinance and end up paying a fine or lose my detector. TIA for any/all replies and wish you HH!

Only restriction I am aware of is paying for parking on the seawall in Galveston.
When the weather warms up Stewart and Surfside charge for beach access.
This time of the year there is no beach charge.

You are good to go, the only part of Galveston off limits is the small state park area near Dellanera RV park. Stewart, Porreta, East and pocket parks are all OK. Surfside is fine also.
