Arthur Brown Ruhl 1876- 1935 American reporter and writer Ruhl was present at the battle of Gallipoli Turkey 1915. The letter A was awarded to Anzac soldiers who served at Gallipoli.Ruhl wrote numerous books about Gallipoli and the first world war.His account of things has much credit as he was there.Gee that took a me a few hours to find that connection.I believe he has the right to ware the "A" too.

Any way i went to the local Craft and Dressmakers Show to help set up the tables and stands. My sister in law is sewing mad and mixed up in many Craft and sewing groups. Got up early and the site was set up fairly quickly and we had about 2 hours spare, before the show opened. So i got chance to check out many jars and tins of dress makers buttons.Offered to pay for what i found but as i was a hepler i got a few items for free. ;D ;D ;D MD coils don,t fit inside jars and tins. So you have to look. Might have nitemares about buttons for while. :-\ :-\ :-\

Heres some interesting badges and buttons found at the craft show.

very nice finds. one of your buttons caught my eye, and after reviewing my finds I indeed found this very similar piece. I would be curious to hear anything you know about it. I'm not a button expert by any means, this was one of my first MD finds.
