Hi

I just picked up these 2 pocket watches and was wondering if anyone can tell me the value of each of these and any additional info on them? What kind of a stop watch is the gallet and the model of the solrex? Are these 2 brand any good or generic watches? Any info would be greatly appreciate!

The stopwatch looks like a specialty stop watch. For the pocket watch the name Solrex does not appear in my watch book. Could we see the inside back of the watch.

I'm working off of memory here and it's horrible....I believe solrex is swiss watch. Or company that put parts together, for lack of better words.

Two nice examples though!!!!! I'm no good with values and don't even want to attempt to guess. But not rare...If that helps anything. :laughing7:

I tried to open the back but it's too tight.. I might need to find some tools to have it open. I picked up these 2 watch for 20 buck. I hope I didn't overpaid for it. Thanks for all the feedback!

If you enjoy them that's all that matters! I don't think you got hurt at all at $20. That sounds really fair even if they don't work. Working? That's a real good deal. I've been able to sell just about any decent stop watch at the lowest, $10 to $15 not working. Yours is a little different because of the way the numbers are, like mentioned in an above post. So, it may be a specialty and bring decent money. I'm not really up on prices lately. No idea what it would bring working...

The solrex is a good looking watch. Most guys I knew were after American made watches unless something special, pateck, vacheron,etc... so they wouldn't have paid the same price. An off the wall low ball guess $10 to $25 broken, $25 to $60 working(depending on where I was selling, or who) No clue what Ebay brings on those, maybe more..

Those are just very rough guess's from what I remember.......But I think your fine at $20 and I would have bought them for that. And I don't need any more watches at the moment.:laughing7:
