It was road trip time today with the family, My wife wanted some driftwood she had seen near the lake of the old field hockey camp I hunted with Johnymc and Markgpa. Anyway loaded the truck hooked up my trailer for the wood and even took the kids bikes for a day of fun in the sun. When we got there I was surprised to see the lake drained again, now we have hunted the lake before but this time I noticed the contractor must have been taking some stone off the bottom so I said what the heck, I'm gonna check it out. Pulled out my detector and headed out into the lake bed. In about 1/2 hour I had a 1918 wheat and the ring. once I cleaned it I realized the center of the two flowers were small diamonds...I was happy with that and off I went to spend some time with the family..By the way we got some nice driftwood and rocks for the flower bed. "A great day all around"
