G.B. & Co. No. 74....brass tag

is what is on this tag. Found at Camp Logan, TX....era 1917-1923. I have searched every possible combination of keywords I can think of and I come up with a very little modern and almost nothing old. Certainly not what I would call convincing. If anyone could help I would grateful. Thanks.

It could be a baggage tag from a transfer service or freighting company.

Another possibility is that it's a tool check or work check.

Try checking old city and county business directories for firms with matching initials.
