G.A.R. medalion found

I found this Grand Army of the Republic medallion. on the grounds of the old Industrial School for Girls in Adrian, MI. the original medal bar and ribbon hung above the hole. It commemorated the Silver Encampment held in Detroit, Michigan in 1891. It was a strong signal about 8" deep.
