RULE # 23 The use of metal detectors and subsequent digging and removal of artifacts on any park lands is prohibited.

Jeff, York co is not as blatant but rule #9 is a catch-all: Damaging, defacing or removing any plant, animal, natural feature, object, sign, structure, equipment, or other material is strictly prohibited.

Only thing on Chester County I can find

"RULES Are similar to DCNR"

which Oversees the state Parks.
and is Metal detectors are allowed in
Designated areas with Permission of the Park
ranger (Office)
