Further information needed! Lindbergh watch fob

I got this at a yard sale when I bought a large lot of foreign coins and US tokens. I know it's a watch fob and I found a simular one pictured on line at the Smithsonian in the King Collection. My question is were these issued just to the people attending the reception or were they issued after the event! Thanks any further info would be greatly appreciated.

From a quick search,
it might possibly have connection to either or both, Masons and Mormons.
