Fur Trap with Tag and Bullets

Today detecting in the woods was a fur, fish, and game kinda day. Found this leg hold trap fully buried a couple inches deep with its name tag "J. Zaykowski. Misc. bullets in the theater too. You never know, keep swinging.

The trap looks like a standard #2 Double longspring. May be
only a few years old. You can check with your state trapping
association to see if they know of Zaykowski.

In 1986 foot traps were outlawed in the county of NY state this was found. Looking at the hand made copper scrap name tag I think this is decades older. When I was trapping in the early 1970's, I and most others used machine stamped aluminum tags with our addresses. Plus this find is nearly crumbling to the touch.
