Very nice! I would love to find one of those! We had the fur trade here in Massachusetts but it was not as long lived as your area. They depleted the resources pretty quickly. Fur actually played a big role in the destabilization of New England. Things where pretty good while there were pelts to trade but once those ran thin the colonists looked towards the native land with a hunger that never abated.

Super cool find! Personally I’d rather find a fur trade button than gold. That time is so interesting to me.
