Hi everyone. I found this piece over last weekend on an Indian village site, 1700s. I posted this in fur trade artifacts and have lookers so I decided to post it here as well. Its total lengt unbent would be 2" long and its 3/4 " wide. It may have been slightly arched and has holes running along both sides. Can someone give me an idea what it may have looked like in its pristine shape? Thanks!

Awesome find :icon_thumleft: Maybe a trade silver brooch?

silverbrooch2271.jpg

2271 - INDIAN TRADE SILVER BROOCH, 2.5" round silver brooch. Circles and diamonds punched out designs. Some decorative engraving, as it should be - very thin silver. Some minor bends that could be straightened but 100% in tact and good body to the silver (sometimes leached out by the ground minerals). Excavated from an Ottawa site in Michigan. Getting impossible to find authentic trade silver.......................................................................$395.00
