🔎 UNIDENTIFIED Fuorite Ridge Cooke's Range

Does anyone know if there is active mining at Fluorite Ridge or Goat Ridge in Cooke's Range? And if not, is there any worthwhile minerals to be found there now. Thanks for any help.

Thanks for your answer, Doug. Yep, lots of stuff for rockhounds and history buffs. I have been there several times but been a few years. I was really curious about Fluorite Ridge and any active claims there. I think they are all closed.

There is at least 1 claim the Surprise Mine

Hey Doug. Mindat shows the Surprise Mine up around Cooke's Peak, North and West of cemetery. Unless there is another one on Fluorite Ridge which is possible.

My buddy owned it, A guy from Albuquerque bought the lease a few years back for $5k
