All I could find out, that this was a furniture company in 1904.
Made of brass, Must have been on heck of a big piece of furniture this was on
Any ideas Gun Case, Safe

Looks like a plate that a key would be inserted into? So a gun cabinet would be a good guess

i was kinda toying with the idea of an old police call box that they had before car radios.

I found this. His name is Bill, Not Bob

Received his education in the public schools of Scotland. Began apprenticeship to furniture dealer in Arbroath, Scotland, in 1878, serving five years; moved to Edinburgh in 1883 and remained until 1888; moved to San Francisco and was employed by W. & J. Sloane & Co., 1888-92; moved to Los Angeles in 1904 and established the firm of Mackie-Fredericks Co., furniture deal- ers, which was later changed to Mackie-Foley Co., of which he is pres. and sole owner; vice-pres. Commonwealth Home Builders and dir. of Orange Lands Investment Co. Member Sierra Madre, Los Angeles Athletic and Olympic Gun clubs, Los Angeles; San Gabriel Valley Country Club, Pasadena; Masonic fraternity.
