I have Equinox 800, but never use gold mode.

I think there are great opportunities to find some gold in the area that I have been prospecting ( rivers close to mine)

I just have been searching for coins

Would someone please school me on detecting gold

Only thing I can think of Jogeke is don't go blasting any of what you discover with a loud trumpet and keep your eyes & ears open for any bandits that might be curious of your activities .

I had an 800. If you are using it in multi frequency in gold mode and the threshold seems ratty and jittery go to single frequency. Often where I am I had to do that. Unfortunately I was hardly ever able to run MF in gold mode here.
