My fiancee had been hinting around about getting a Playstation 2 for Christmas, and I thought I would surprise her and go cash in some clad finds to see how close I could get the the price of the unit. Well, there were apparently a whole lot more pennies in that big glass jar than I thought, as I only ended up cashing out about 40.00 in clad. (Actually, that's not a bad total when you consider that I cashed in about 70.00 in clad at the end of October to get her a surprise birthday present. Darn those joint checking accounts! She can always see what I buy and I didn't want her to see what I spent!) Anyway, back to the story. I knew that 40 would only make a dent in the 150.00 unit, so I decided to run to the store and pick myself up some lottery tickets. I never have cash, only plastic, so I can't usually buy them. Anyway, I bought three 5.00 tickets and sat down in the car to scratch them, and lost on the first two. Then, I started to scratch the third one and, lo and behold! I won $100! Put that together with the 25.00 I had left from the clad, ran to the ATM for another 25.00, and went and got the Playstation. Christmas miracles abound! Happy Hunting!
