Fun digging day - lot's of whatsits
I went back to the spot across the street from my apartment (the old trolley tunnel) in search of some more old coins but didn't find any older than 1962. In fact, most of them were from the early 60's. Dug up many items I have no idea what they are - and may have to post them on the "What is it" forum section. (The eagle emblem on the black metal handle, the catholic medallion and the chain thingee). I was pretty pleased at the end of the day because I dug more quarters and other coins than any other outing so far. Over $5 bucks in change - which is a lot for me! Raised the bar again! Now I have to keep trying to get better than this level. It was a real trip down memory lane when I found a Wolf Cub neckerchief slide about 4" down. Looked up this online and they have a red background on them today - so I am thinking this one may be from the 60's or 70's? All in all a pretty good day. Interesting finds that I can research are my favorite!
Looking forward to the three day weekend I have coming up and hope the weather cooperates so I can go out and hunt.
