Had a great time with my son this weekend. He's got the fever now. Told him he could keep all he found. He likes placer more than the hard rock operation. We'll see after he helps me squeeze some gold out of those rocks though. The first picture is his very first placer gold. Other pictures are my take. A couple of him classifying and sluicing.

Another day another buck 298. All alone this weekend but enjoying the solitude. Although I think I'd rather have some help. Helped an older couple out by loaning them my tools. Their car wouldn't shift into gear but they figured it out. Did my good deed for the day. Long walk back to town. I told them where to get cell reception so the lady went there. Long walk. She was quoted over $1000 for a tow.

Retrofitted my deer buggy by wiring a piece of plywood in the bottom. Works good for carrying 3 buckets. That thing was built by my dad in around 1964, he was an electrician hence EMT. It's hauled many bucks and firewood and hay and now gold. I know dad would be proud.

Anyway here's the pics for today.

Not much time to classify today so brought home 10 buckets of goodies to run through the gold cube that is arriving Tuesday. So tomorrow after work I'll classify it out. Was raining today so put on my duckback gear and went to work. And it looks like I can go back next weekend.

Get that stuff cubed yet?

Cubed a few buckets tonight. Results to follow. VERY impressed with the gold cube. Worth every penny!

3 buckets worth.

I agree. There isn't much not to like about the Cube. Really does a good job snatching out the little stuff. Did you pan the top and bottom tray's separately? If so did you have anything in the second tray? Guess I don't know if you have the 3 stack or 4 stack so maybe you have a third tray. So far in my experience basically never anything in the second tray and all of the gold I find is extremely small.

I have the 4 stack. I didn't mess around separating the trays, thought about it but figured why doubt the advertisement. Just more work. I finished the rest of the dirt last night. Results are ok but I was expecting more, aren't we always? Hit and miss sometimes.
