I still have a bunch of wheats in a box that I need to date, but I updated a lot of my list. Here is what I have that is dated and rolled as of tonight (With about 1,500 more to be dated and added to the list in the next few weeks. PLus new ones as I sort more boxes of pennies.)

Values came off of Lincoln Wheat Penny Values - Coin Values for Lincoln Wheat Pennies with minor adjustments.

How did you sort them? Did you roll by year and mint mark, just year, decade, etc.? I have like 3000 wheat pennies I'd like to sort. How do you know the values? Are they all in good condition or some worn down from circulation which would decrease the values?

Great!!! Did you get these all CRHING? I think you said you did.. wow I would love all those wheats. I'll pay you Face Value plus shipping for them? :occasion14:

use a Red Book for values, or if you don't want to spend the money on a Red Book, use the guide in this post.

No I mean do you grade the coins by eye or just use the circulated values off that list and hope it averages out? Some wheat pennies are very worn and others are less worn, so they must have different values due to condition.

Hi Jrf30,
That's a great collection of Wheats. Keep at it!..."It's out there!"
all the best

The Red Book lists them by condition.

My values are "Average circulated condition bid price" as shown on the site i linked to. ALthogh Mimay have some that are better than others, I haven't sold any, so I don't worry about the values so much. Just collecting.

ALthough as I fill my fifth box, it is starting to be a storage issue. I have silver in my safe, copper in my garage, and wheats along with 2009 nuickels and dimes, plus some 2012 quarters, ... next to my shoes on the floor! No good spot to put them.

"like" for your free times to do this, for me I just throw them all into my gatorade bottle lol
