Absolutely lovely day

The roman coins are still hiding from me but I did find some amazing bits, many of which I didn't yet have in my collection.

The light bulb is fairly old, the glass is an actual solid glass dome, a lovely range of bullets from a musketball to a casing dated 1941, a stunning heron button which is much appreciated since I'm an amateur wildlife photographer. My only other animal button so far has a picture of a full body stag.

A couple of unknown bits such as the 2 pieces with a hinge of sorts, both have a hinge at the end and one hole on the other end? And then there's the weird zigzag lead piece.

That's quite the collection of bullets alright. What's the one in the lower left that looks like a miniature torpedo? I sure wouldn't want to be in front of that thing....

Yep, if it was a place I could go back to any time I'd have way more bullets but I wanted to get a bit of detecting on other fields too. The 2 there were full with bullets every like 20m you'd find at least one. Happy with the 5 variants either way

I think the large one is an armour piercing one, Google shows this one as a Swiss round (2nd/3rd in the pic)

(7.5×55mm Swiss full metal jacket, armor piercing, and tracer, spitzer projectiles. The three bullets on the right show cannelure evolution)

Yes it was awesome, great day out on my first group hunt.

I didn't have the luck/equipment for some deeper finds but others who did pulled out a gold celtic and a sovereign plus a lot of silver from roman to modern
