Haven't posted recently, but got out a few times the last few days. Hit a new permission and an old park I've been hunting. Six of the Indians came from the old park. Everything else came from the new permission. Although a bit toasted, I got my first Fugio out of the ground, a bucket list item. A couple of KG II's, one being an Irish halfpence. I always like finding LC and these two weren't a complete disaster although a little toasted. Found some horse tack and a nice batwing buckle, only my 3rd large size one. The permission seems to have quite a few silver spoons on the property as my buddy Jimmy also found one. First time at the new permission also found a very nice Barber quarter and 2 cent piece. The broach, musket ball, crotal bell and unidentified copper complete to package. This was during three outings, one at the park and two at the permission. All the coppers came up yesterday in a 3 hour hunt.

I should add I'm blessed to live in NY. We have a lot of old sites and I realize that many of these finds would be bucket listing items in a lot of places around the country. I am thankful.

Nice recoveries/ Love the Fugio and the other coppers.

Flabergasted, what a hunt! My KG pennies are all toasted, yours were spared by the ground, they look good and I'd be curious to see the fugio once cleaned (if you clean it). I would be happy with just the crotal bell or an indian head. Thanks for sharing!

Here we go! Don's back!!

Beautiful Fugio! Great coppers too.

Very nice

You are right, much of what you found would be a dream where i live. Fantastic digs, congratulations!

I agree whole heartedly with "...I am blessed..."

Very well played sir!

Man that 2 cent piece is something to die for. It is really nice. Congrats on all the finds.

Nice variety of finds. Being mostly a coin hunter i enjoy those the most. The barber and 2 center are really sharp looking. How many 2 cent pieces does this give you now? Congrats.

Great stuff Don! That Fugio isn't too bad and it's very high on my list. Glad you knocked that one off

WOW, so that is what they look like. (Fugio) Great finds, congratulations!

Amazing finds, Don. You folks back east do have an advantage with history. Grats to ya and thanks for taking the time to post all the pics for us less fortunate.

Great assortment of finds Don! And some real nice coppers. The detail on the 2-center and quarter is outstanding. Excellent hunt!!

Won't do much more cleaning on the Fugio. My experience say less is usually more when it comes to coppers and LC's. When they're a bit toasted its' easy to loose detail trying to clean them. At this point all I would have to do it get water on it and there would be nothing left. Water and toasted coppers are enemies.

I think I'm up to about 15 2 cent pieces.
