Ft Myers Beach Detecting?

Anywhere from the LaniKai to the north to Bowditch Point has been pounded by locals on a daily basis since detectors were invented. The best advice I got for ya is to go a mile or two south to the condos.
There is a much wider area of dry sand down there, and if you catch low tide, there is another couple hundred feet of hunting grounds for you.
If you make your way down to Lovers Key, dry sand only, it’s a state park and the ranger won’t let your machine get wet.
Further south is Bonita Beach, again the common areas are pounded, head further north adjacent to the residences, this time of year most of the places will be empty, except for a few locals or renters, nobody will bother you.
Now, if you actually want to find something, head into downtown Ft.Myers, and hit up the empty property behind the old train station, at the intersection of Seaboard and Palm Beach Blvd.

Thanks BigWaveDave and yeah I'd prefer to stay sout of Lanikai lol!
