Detector(s) used
minelab musketeer xs
On th block tonight is a beaut of a Minelab Musketeer XS with 7,1/2"(off the top of my head) stock coil with underarm mount only. The front top mount has been taken off and is not included with the machine.

I am the second owner of this particular machine. This machine is my third Musky and this one performs as it is designed to do. :headbang: You would think by now I would learn not to sell this machine because of the extreme case of sellers remorse I go through every time but ohh well....I like change what can I say.

I've always been an outspoken proponent of the musky as the best all rounder in its price range.

As far as cosmetic condition goes it definitely has seen the field but has been well maintained over the years. (7/10?)

The coil cover has some mild scratches as to be expected, but the coil itself is in very nice shape.

My hunting buddy (previous owner) has an ocd habit of reinforcing the first foot of wire above the coil with an electrical tape wrap. He claims it helps combat premature wear (?I've never had that problem myself,....but I won't question his methods) and I've left it as is.

The shaft has a few minor scuffs but the integrity of the carbon and metal is not compromised.
Since I have owned the machine the ground balance knob disappeared so I replaced it with a generic black knob. It functions well and looks damn spiffy if I may say so myself  The picture below was taken before my most excellent knob repair job.

A modified hipmount (err...backmount?) for this detector made out of a pretty high end camelback-pack is included. I've found my camelback sytle mount much preferable to the hipmount cases,...the only downside being that you have to swing the pack around to do any knob adjustment. Thankfully this detector is a pretty much a set it and forget it machine and the pinpoint function is not needed with the DD coil. I tend to just hunt for a few minutes with the box mounted under the forearm to dial in the settings, then switch to my camelback mount from there on out.

Since the box's weight is evenly distributed on 2 cushy shoulder straps, I can go all day with minimal discomfort due to the ergonomic setup.

I have been an internet trader for a decade now, and my motto is ABSOLUTE SATISFACTION for my buyers, the only caveat being no returns for "buyers remorse" cases. Please if you have any questions or need clarification feel free to ask! I have completed several transactions on this board over the years and have had nothing but positive luck.

$200 paypal,USPS money order, or personal check (shipment witheld until cleared). [size=13pt]Shipping included in the con-us.

This detector is also available for demo and pickup in Powhatan, Va. $190 cash and carry.

thanks,
Alabama Mike
