Just got my detector back from Garrett. Went to a couple local trashy parks to test the detector. Since the ground was wet, decided to dig everything from foil to the right. Got some interesting signals but nothing valuable turned up. Along with some bulging pockets of trash and junk got these finds...
114 coins including a clad half. And six nickles that came from diggin' the junk signals.
'41 and '50 Wheaties which gave good loud signals at six inches, ( I measured 'em) to prove my detector is working again, woo hoo! Thanks Garrett!
A good doggy dog collar pendant, a half inch miniature Darth Vader head, and a a Mount Rushmore souvee smashed out of a zinc penny.
Last, (and probably least) three of the biggest "no cash value" tokens I have ever seen. They are virtually the same size as a US half dollar and signaled just below half dollar on the VDI...three halves in the same hole, yes!...might be silver!...right...so many ways to be fooled in this business...but...diggin' (and fixin') 200 holes is great exercise and ya' never know what's under the coil next!...all the best.
