So today we set off with some trepidation…. temps have not really been above freezing for the past week, and sure enough are first site was frozen solid… so we had to pick and choose places in another field where we could dig, so resulting mix bag of finds today!
A really interesting token from 1811, it’s a Newark, Nottingham penny token a lovely green 1915 half penny, 2 other coins ( no I’d). A lovely buckle, what looks to be a little clasp (Book?) some buttons, just one musket ball today, and some other bits nd bobs.
A bitterly cold day, but as ever just happy to be out….. but you know it’s pheasant shooting season when the helicopter lands in the next field to pick up the weary pheasant hunters 🙄 xx
