Frost line query

Hey Folks, lemme know how far south I have to go to hit good ground that's not frozen. I'm trying to keep the road trip under 4 hours from Chicago. Will consider creeking as well if it's ankle to shin deep. I'm obviously stuck with a range from No. Mo. to Indy, anyone out there with good ground conditions speak up! I'll leave plenty behind, promise!

Would like to get ground conditions reports from all of you on the edge of the frost belt if possible.

Low, it's so unfroze here it's not even funny. About 4 -4 1/2 hr from St. Louis. Nice weather-little rain temps been up in low 50's

Well we have no frozen ground but might be a little more than a 4 hr drive.I just wish the rain would stop for a few days for some hunting....
Oh well I won't mention the green trees here for now though.

Thanks for the inquery LowBatts. I'll be watching the responses also. So hardup to swing I went to a creek yesterday and hunted the sand along the edges. Came up with a soda can and an old 22 casing, before returning to the house to thaw out. Northern Ohio is still cold and frozen.

Hey Harry, how's the southern end of Ohio? I know I can get to Cinci in a little over 6 hours and if I had that kind of time I'd be off poking around the river down there.

I live in Dayton ohio area, not bad here at all if you can stand the cold but I went out for a little while yesterday and was going to today but got tied up working on my car then my brothers truck
cold but ground isnt frozen here in dayton!
