I checked out a few sites on the net and noticed theres a park you can dig for diamonds. Can anyone tell me if its worth comming from Wi just for this? Also i have vacation comming up. Was thinking i might stay in the area and my wife and I would try this a couple days. And i am aware of the lucky guy from WI who already went home happy =P. Please send PM's as i often forget to check my posts =P

You are referring to the Crater of Diamonds state park in Murfreesboro, Arkansas.

Basically it is a 37 acre plowed field, where you sift dirt in hopes of finding a diamond.

The chances of finding a diamond are very, very slim. And looking involves digging through shallow dirt in a hot, treeless field.

My opinion (as someone who has visited there with high hopes) . . . you'll do better going elsewhere.
