Hi,
Haven't spent much time in my pit lately, but yesterday as I was messing around outside in my pit I found an unusual bottle, and need some help identifying it. It is an amber bottle. Right above the rings it says, "CHAPIN & Gore," and then right below that it say, "FEDERAL LAW PROHIBITS SALE OR REUSE OF THIS BOTTLE." On the very bottom of the bottle it had a "D" and an upside down "5". Then it also has some numbers that read 65 50. If anyone has seen a bottle like this or can help me identify it please let me know. Thanks. Danna

FEDERAL LAW PROHIBITS SALE OR REUSE OF THIS BOTTLE."
If your bottle has these words embossed it was made between 1932 - 1964

These words were required on liquor bottles after prohibition was lifted.

Danna - glad to see your still getting to the pit once in a while! Are you any closer to getting a metal detector?

Those pics you posted a while back of the pit were awesome...
