FROGFOOT SEMINARS 2012—2013
Dear Friends:
The CLOSING DATE for registration in the 2012 Salvage Diving Seminars was 10 May 2012. We did not attain the level of registration required to make up a class, so the 2012 Seminar was CANCELLED. The shortage of registrants, we believe, was due to the fact that we had to raise the tuition to accommodate the drastic increase (about $1.00 per gallon) in fuel prices over the previous year. The cost of our field trips and hiring of the dive boat are very dependent on the price at the pump for gasoline and diesel fuel.
Therefore, we now put this year behind us and begin planning the 2013 classes. We have tentatively selected Monday through Thursday, June 17th — 20th, 2013, as our target. Each year we have to select a week or weeks and blend everyone’s schedules into the plan. The hosts’, lecturers’, students’, and boat’s schedules must all fall into agreement on the days we select.
We are led to believe that fuel prices will drop in the near future (we actually see this in motion now here in Florida), so our tuition fee will start out at our best guess of $995.00 per student. Early in 2013 this may be adjusted up or down, depending… So, we ask that if you have an interest in what we offer, then please register your interest in attending the 2013 seminar with me as soon as you are able … and work with us in planning this useful event.
We will stay in touch with each of you during the upcoming months until all details are finalized. I will need your name, mailing address, e-mail address, and ‘phone number in order to send you updates.
Thank you,
Margaret A. Weller
