Hey everyone.. I know it has been a long time since I have posted. I have been dealing with a lot of medical issues that has prevented me from having full rotation of my arms meaning I cannot detect and haven't been for a year now. A friend of mine moved to North Carolina and found this in the garden it is a Farmhouse and don't know the history. Doesn't look all that old to me because it doesn't have much rust or patina. Its also on a farm and people lose stuff on a farm like mad if you ever detected a Farm you will know. Anyone have an idea what this thing is.. This is the only picture he sent to me using his arms as a size guide and he is about 6'3 .

Rail anchor, keeps the rail from being pushed by the train. Put the anchor on the rail on both sides of a tie.
