Friday's dime & half boxes - 2/3/12
I was able to find a little silver in each box Friday (and all 90% too) so I can't complain. Unfortunately the only keepers in the dime box and first half box were at the very beginning of the boxes - but something is sure better than nothing.
Dime box:
1 x '59 Rosie (RE in the 2nd roll)
1 x '64 Rosie (in the 6th roll)
Half box 1:
1 x '63 BF (in the 2nd roll)
Half box 2:
1 x '43 WL (nice coin w/full rims and very clear date & lettering - probably grades F+)
1 x '81S JFK
So once again this year I seem to be finding more Walkers & Bens than 90% Kens and a very good ratio of 90%'s to 40%'s just as I did last year - which is sure fine with me.
And so this makes 20 silver dimes, 37 x 90% halves & 56 x 40% halves I've found so far this year which calculates to:
$20.50fv in 90% silver
$28.00fv in 40% silver
It's only the first week of Feb and I seem to be doing alright but I'm going to have to increase my volume and/or start having more good luck if I hope to reach my goal of $250fv in 90% silver & 500fv in 40% silver by the end of the year. Of course if I manage to find a little (or a lot) more than $250fv in 90% silver & a little less than $500fv in 40% silver that would be just fine with me too.
Finding silver @ face is oooh so great! H$H!
Btw, I just noticed this is my 1000th post! I may now be a bronze member but I'm still primarily a silver hunter!
