Went back to a bank I knew had some loose halves in the vault and asked them for all of them. Last time I had them get me $100 out of the vault. All clad so I think they were back there cherry picking so I wanted the rest this time. $148 worth. She counted them all out at her station. Man did that take a while!! It was worth it!! Got 9 40% halves and a 1976 S Proof. Not in the best shape but nice coin. Better than my first skunk box. I went back to the bank I picked up my first skunk box from and they said they had another box of halves that came in. I only had enough for 10 rolls but that would give me a chance to check to see the quality of that new box. Skunks! Same markings as last box so someones dumps. Anyone here in the south Denver area dumping at my bank?? Two black Sharpie marks on the edge. Fess up so we can work together

I'm in N. California and I'm finding a LOT of halves (6 to 8 per roll) with 2,thin, black sharpie marks on the edges about 1/4-inch apart. Wonder if it's the same person.

I went through a few boxes that were full of these black sharpie marks about a month ago. I have also been putting some proofs back in circulation with dates on them. If anyone finds one please let me know. The mark will come off with rubbing alcohol.

Has anyone else seen 2004 P/D halves that look like someone is trying to remove the mint mark? There is a big scrape across the mintmark.
