Friday Coins off the Counter: Quarters

Good try though. I was talking to a banker who used to CRH at a WF recently and he use to go through the bags off machine. ( I guess I would to if I were allowed to.) He told me when he was a teller and changing the bag he saw silver through the clear bag and ended up finding 97 silver quarters! I realize that is a very rare instance, but when I get the bags, I always think....."Just maybe......."

Me too MentalUnrest, me too.

I'm pretty lucky, all the gals at my credit union branches are younger or middle ages. Seems like those old bats are the ones that know about silver, the younger ones could care less. I'm finding silver at all my branches in the bags, so I don't know they don't cherry pick. Because the coin counters are publically useable and not behind the teller counter, I know they don't have a chance to see the coins...the last person that touched them when I buy the bags was the person depositing them, so I figure I'll have a windfall. One of the first Thrusday dimes I got had 10+ silvers in $500 worth, one of which was a 1952 Cuban Diez Centavos (same planchet as a .900 US dime)

I always get dimes in the counter bags, I also get a couple of quarters. I figured the person that dumps the silver dimes is going to dump the quarters also. Good luck and HH.
