French Treasures

Marc,
I'm researching and looking for anything about the French who were in Pa. Mostly on or near the Susquehanna River.
I have read of some things of intrest, but not a whole lot.
Thanks is you have any input,
Clayton

Marc,
was there a link with your post, if so, I don't see it...

You need to click on the attachment "user-1150472.kml (0.43 KB - downloaded 9 times.)"... then view it in Google Earth.

These are pictures in europe and Morocco. Any chance this is the wrong attachment?

:D Download the attached file "frenchtresor.kml" (see it up there somewhere in small print?)

Ohhhh... French treasure... IN France. Where did I get the idea that this was in Pennsylvania?

It is still cool. Thanks for posting.

Does it include the two French bronzes at Mountoursville? Supposedly dumped in the river were the creek (?) comes down. How the story ever got passed down is a mystery to me. Need very good equipment for such ($$). I'll give you an interesting site up there. When the water gets lower, check out race track island (I have been told that it used to be a fair grounds up until about the 30's ???..not sure of dates). Need boat and be warned it is a difficult site (big but little left above river, many scrub trees). I had also noticed an interesting spot in the woods there. I was going to check out this past weekend, but it was raining and my event there was canceled.
