Free Energy - Geez, wonder why this never happened - 40 years later ......

More money in oil for big business ... and, for the environmentalists, more money in the Global Warming scare when there's a boogey man (big oil) to blame. Basically your win/win situation for those groups.

The big question is, can it produce enough electricity to heat and cool the water and have extra left over for other uses. You realize, this is perpetual motion don't you?

According to the video, they used a solar water heater to heat one side. With only a 20 degree temperature differential needed, that would be easy to attain by a simple cooling tower as in a small pump to raise the cool side and run it down a "washboard" via gravity thus reducing the temp for the cool side.

That would increase the temperature differential enough that it should work as a "perpetual motion" machine.

According to the film, they did do 23+ million revolutions with just the solar water heater and no mention of a cooling tower.

What I was thinking about was does it have enough torque to run a generator . That solar power isn't free as some suppose. It would cost $30K to solar power my house and the cells loose efficiency as they age.
Now if this thing would generate more power then it 'consumes', It would be perpetual motion and the energy crisis would be over. Frank...

Frankn, they were using a simple solar water heater ... blackened pipes under glass would do it.

Only a 20 degree temperature difference needed.

Not sure of the torque, but that thing really got to spinning when it hit the water.

Then you start considering scale ... but we'll never know because the info is now gone, or more likely hidden.

Naaah...it's out there, and it works. The material can be purchased on Ebay. The problem is figuring out a way to convert that motion into electrical generation. In a nutshell, it is simply a solar generator. It could also be run off waste heat from other operations. I think it will eventually come into being, but the generating end is definitely a problem, so far. If there was a big conspiracy involving this, the material wouldn't be readily available.

I do not presume to be anything near an expert.

However, in my many years experience in nuclear power generation, I could turn the 6' long blades of a turbine with only my pinkie finger, they were so truly well balanced.

Based only on that, why would this not be conceivable?

Maybe it could. But you have to ask yourself...with all the experimenters, both pro and amateur, working with this material, why hasn't someone come up with a solution? Here's a possible problem...maybe when you increase the thickness of the material, in order to generate more torque, the temperature effect diminishes because you can't change the temp of that much material quickly. So, you're trapped into using really thin sections that have little torque.

Maybe they could stack them to get the torque. Maybe they could increase the temperature differential for thicker metal. Just a thought. Frank...

The problem is, despite all the complaining and moaning and groaning about big oil ... no one has the cajones to cross 'em.

The folks who fight for the environment are too weak from their vegan lifestyle.

The folks who claim the world is suffering from MMGW have too much to lose if there isn't any pollution to blame it on ...

Big business is afraid they'll be cut off.

Government likes the taxes.

And Joe, they guy building this stuff in his basement is too easy to knock off or pay off.

It will NEVER happen unless we run out of oil.
