Hi All,

Felt good getting out this weekend. Nothing great to show for it, but that's the way it goes sometimes. As I was about to leave the site today I got a signal that I KNEW was another corroded cleat. I walked on, but thought, what the hell, dig it. So I did and this wierd silver over copper ring comes out. The break in the band caused the VDI to jump around, hence my incorrect assumption concerning the target's identity. I left after that feeling better...a ring is a ring is a ring. Also found an air museum squashed penny momento, a decorative whatzit and a 92' foreign coin. And the cars.

I included two pics of the ring because I am not sure which way is up...the first pic of it is the way I think it's supposed to go...skeletal face wearing a hat...? If you put it the other way, as in the second pic, it might look like a bull with a ring through its nose. The Made In China stamp on the back is right side up when the ring is as it is in the first pic. If anyone knows anything about what this ring signifies, if anything, I'd be interested in your comments.

That is freaky

Ahh, yes, the ubiquitous Chucke Cheese token...present at almost every hunt. I don't sell, use, cash-in or in any way use any finds. I just hold on to them to increase the size of my vast horde. ;) The only exception is when I return a class ring or something that can be traced to the owner.

I see you also found a piece of either a flute or clarinet to the right of the cars. I've found a few of those as well. Looks like a good day's work. 8) HH!

Those are some sharp looking hotwheels they give such a killer sound,I used to pitch them all but Ive started to cleanup and hold onto the decent ones,do you have cases that you keep them in or throw them in a box? Ive been contemplating the clad issue with some thought to keep and save or spend. Holding onto it at first seems like a good idea save it up for something or whatever, but logic must dictate that the longer the clad sits in a jar/bottle/piggybank the less its value becomes. Ive reached the conclusion that Im going to invest mine in something that will hold its value or go up i.e. a nice Lionel train or some decent basball cards but most likely Im going to spend it on coins probably some big fat Morgan dollars or perhaps a couple of Cuban pesos....just some food for thought....Shoot

Wow Beep! Looks like a normal day for you ;D - The ring is my fav, then the mermain thing.

Nice finds Beep and a genuine made in China ring, LOL! HH, Mike

I do keep all the cars in my "toys" box. I don't bag them or anything...have quite a collection going so far.

As far as the clad goes, I think you're right Shootist. I tumble it when I have enough for a new batch and put it in some big jars separated by denomination. I agree that it would be best to buy gold or silver with it.

Looks like a productive hunt. :) Interesting ring.

Those cars look so good they look like you took them from some kid when he wasn't looking. ;)

It may be freaky but it rocks! I wear some wierd ones myself, and that would fit right in. Especially when I ride long distances. Maybe it is a biker thing ???
Sweet digs
