I recently found this fraternity badge lapel pin while metal detecting near the University of Oregon in Eugene Oregon. It appears to be gold-plated with a small diamond chip. It is about 12 millimeters wide and 16 millimeters tall. The back side has an engraving, "A. D. PULVER" , "1/20/01 1769".
Anyone know what fraternity this is from? What does the engraving on the back mean?

Many fraternities have member pins like that. A. D. Pulver is probably the name of the brother and 1/20/01 the date of their initiation. 1769 probably isn't a date, but the member number.

It seems the University of Oregon chapter of that fraternity disbanded so it might be tough to get any background or names, but if you're so inclined you could always reach out to the university inter-fraternity council and maybe they know of an alumni organization that still exists for that chapter.

That tiny little gold wreath ... might be fun to return to the hole and pick through it with a Fine Tooth Comb.webp?
