This is obviously another mixed frame...hillsbourough’s, pinellas points, Etc...but I want to focus on what I think is an un typed point...I don’t believe they’re Ichetucknee’s...these three are surface finds from different sites in pinellas county, Florida...they are almost non existent in collections from the Tampa Bay Area, if you have one I would like to see it...The one on the left has slightly ground basel ear tips..they are flaked to a median ridge that produces a diamond cross section, the short one is fluted, I don’t know if that was a hinge fracture accident, I would like it if someone could I.D. Them, any info is appreciated, they don’t look like a local variant, I don’t know if that was a step fracture accident or not... thanks fellas,p.S., the Orange colored one is an authentic broken tip that layed on the ground long enough to acquire a patina, then someone came along years later, found it and made a stemmed point out of it, what a cool thing to find.

Well I don't know much about points but I can't get over those big Hillsborough points! Material on those 3 is a little odd especially the base on the right. In fact that base doesn't look like something you would find in the Tampa area. If that left blade isn't heat treated it sure looks like it.

This is a very sharp blade from what looks like the same material as your knife on the left. It is heat treated and I found lots of it in Pasco County near Bruce B. Downs exit. Blades but no whole or broken points out of it. I found so many cores I think it was a manufacturing site.

Some real colorful points the three in your hand look like something from the Great Basin .

Gotta love all your Florida frames loaded with candy! Sweet Stuff for sure...

I never found a whole point over in those quarries either

Could be I can’t tell on a lot of corals,

and/or the high plains.
1983 was a good year too
You had me goin on that one Fat,Lol...I couldn’t
Figure out what you meant till now, that’s funny, 83 was a great year for me, I had started contracting for myself instead of the man...That point is a drill, with a nice worn tip.

Nice points. On your 3 unidentified--check out the Wheeler examples...

A lot of knowledgeable Florida collectors attribute the Simpson Moustache point as being a Wheeler. Others say it is not a valid point and all are fakes. Interesting debate. I've never found one or met anyone who had. Maybe some of our members have an opinion.

Excellent frame, all stand out in their own right. My personal opinion about the mustache simpson points is that they're all modern.
