fowling peice shell

Any one seen this type of shell , its a 10 gadge and is full length copper. I found one and the local herridatry chief also has one. he told me about his and was suprised i had found one i would like to tell him about his. ;)

hmmmm,
Hey Brother, I have a couple dozen of these in a 12 guage. Mine came from a Remington
trench gun circa 1909. The links are the best source of info. Go with them.

THANKS GUYS, It looks like a 1860 to 1888, that fits, in 1862 the chief took the local indian agent out for a boat ride and never brought him back, he then bragged about killing the agent. My friend will be impressed with the history.

Full brass shotshells was the militry vogue at one time as paper shells tended to swell from moisture out in the field. Nice find. You can still special order full brass cases but you need special loading gear to assemble them so not very popular. Niuce find. Monty
