Went to a new spot today, I couldn't wait any longer, I put my Sawyer's permethrin chigger clothes on and went in the thick stuff. I needed to see if this spot was hit hard by others years past. I know it is old and has much history, goes back to 20's where I know there would have been hundreds of people through there any given day or night. I also figured it had to of been hit by earlier md'ers. I have been thinking of this place since May when I started, and had to go. I busted my way back through briers and underbrush, I was in there with the rabbits and deer, finally worked my way to the area I wanted to try and fired up my AP pro, the first target I dug was ringing up 82-83, I dug it and it was a 1946 Washington Quarter. Wow, my heart is racing and I'm trying to slow myself down. Double check my hole, then start in the immediate area, bing, 79-80 hit, up comes a 1940 wheat. Now I'm really pumping. Next ten targets after that were, light bulbs (small bulbs/ just metal), couple fuses (that I never seen before) and pieces of copper wire (4 gauge/thick) All these things were ringing up high numbers/80's. This place is so overgrown that most of the time I was hunched over, busting through scrub pines and underbrush. I hunted hard for four hours, I could tell this place has been hit extremely hard. I came out with four wheats and the one silver. There is one mystery target, it is lead, round, the one bigger then the rest in the pix. I swear I found one just like it about a month ago, I was hoping it was silver and some type of coin, but I don't think so(wishful thinking) I will be back, off and on, to that spot, it is acres big, and I will find more silver there, just going to have to work for it. The other wheats were a 1944 D, 1948, and a 1936, the fuses said 250V superlag and Buss LKN 100 on them, they are the little square things. The only other coin was a 1981 quarter! Lots of cans three pull tabs, lots of wire!

Update on chiggers, I ended up with some on my privates, forgot to free hand it while I was back there. Very itchy, can't keep my hands off now! All for fifty four cents, makes ya think sometimes about all this metal detecting, lol.
