....to get through the long weekend;

.....was admittedly a crap shoot.

They were from a bank I had ignored for about a month; as the boxes of halves were consistently "under producing".

Box # 294 gave up an '04d

Box # 295, by far the best, produced a 68d, 86 proof, 01 (CuNi) proof and an 05p

Box # 296 yielded an 05p

Box # 297 gave me a 65 & a 67

Four full Fed boxes..........and only eight keepers.

So long as other banks continue to order me all the boxes I can handle, I think I'll avoid this bank.

I went to a bank today that I hadn't been to in a while and they had 2 boxes waiting on me from 3 months ago when I was in there. I had forgot all about it. They also had 9 single rolls that a customer had brought in. She said she had 10 but someone bought one. I went through one box of fed halves and only found a 2005 and a 64 in it. The 9 singles had 35 40%ers and a 62 Bennie. I have only been finding 1 maybe 2 (silver) keepers per fed box lately no matter where I get them from. I think i'm gonna concentrate on finding banks with single rolls and rest on the fed boxes for a while. Oh yeah, the teller and I got to talking about why I wanted so many halves and I told her that I cherrypick the silver coins out of them. She asked how I know which ones and I told her, then she says what about these and holds up 2 quarters, 1 was a 51 and the other a 52, I said yup those are silver. She asked if I wanted them and I said sure, she said 50 cents please. I said here ya go and thank ya maam! :)
