I dug this yesterday at a field that was the site of a Rev war soldiers home . Now just a bare field except for brick , and broken pottery .
Barry dug a 1805 Lg Cent yesterday and I dug the usual generic colonial buttons and this relic . This field is void of any modern trash and everything we've dug here the last 2 years has been 1770's - 1810 ( dates of the coins )
I've dug similar pieces made of brass or copper but with prong attachments , This piece is mostly pewter and looks like it was attached with a pin .
