Looking through a few old items today and found this. Don't remember seeing it before. So I've been looking through some reference material and can only come up with a possible.... Milnesand.
This is a CentralTexas find.

Let me know what you think. (like I had to ask. LOL)

any grinding, nice one, should have grinding for sure.

Bravo
I have not seen that one before. It is a real light material with like a skin on it? Very nice. It looks similar to the cherts we found the farther we head towards the coast or south. It is Big !! Are you thinking Texas?

Put some bubble wrap on it when you store it so there wont be any fresh scrapes on it. Looks like a real nice keeper.

Thanks, Rock, but dings were already there. You're right, there is too much stored and wrecked that way. I take pretty good care now that they are in my keep.

TN, yes Texas, but sure could have been an import. Have never shown any pics of this before. I didn't know it was even there. It has to be paleo I'm thinking, but that is just me.

Jamey, No evidence of grinding. What does that speak to you? I have now noticed grinding referenced in the Overstreet book. So are we back to square one?

Thanks to all for comments

hello bravo, when i first saw it it reminded me of a copena.what i see round here,im no expert at all.it has wide flakes, and i think wide flakes are an old point.i had seen that it did not have the fine secondary flaking also that the milnesand have, but i think they didnt make them from a mold so each type of one is different as the rock wears they would make it better if they liked it or they would just toss it,maybe this one was tossed before it became what modern man thought was a point worth a great name.it is a really good find,i would too of loved to of found it whatever anyone would want to call it.
