...Can search them very quickly since the wrappers are clear plastic....

I just got a box of dimes also with clear wrappers I have only checked the top layer so far.

Do you rewrap them in paper, take them back unwrapped or open the wrappers and go to the coin counter?

I'm only checking for silver so I don't open the rolls unless it has silver in it...I just return the unwrapped plastic rolls.

Nice going!

With so many people going after "big game" (aka halves) dimes are often neglected. I'm sure there's lots of silver waiting to be discovered if people searched on a regular basis.

thats why i do pennies and dimes, i dont do nickles as they would be a pain, in which might go to prove that there might more of them missed in circ. quarters doesnt seem feesable, but im thinking on going to halfs or large halfs if i can find enough extra to really put into searching and have more fun with more to search.. i find it to be as relaxing as watching fish.. so one might consider it to be theropy verses an addiction.. lol..

just went threw 8 boxs of dimes in the last 48hrs.... first box was a dud, the others produced well though, and i sometimes go for the non clear rolls for extra added time bonus, first box was that way and i only found group tokens..

If the bank has clear plastic, most tellers will also let you look at their rolls and you can buy only the rolls with silver in them, reduces the cost and bulk significantly. The only down side is you have to watch out for buying foreign coins that look like silver (I usually bring a small magnet since there is a lot of canadian coins mixed in around here made of steel that looks the same as silver.

Also, you're lucky the banks I have asked won't take back the clear plastic rolls as they're afraid they might be shorted a dime or two, so I have to open em all and cash em in loose which only costs the bank more money in shipping it back to the Federal Reserve.

Same concept also works on quarters, but rarely find any.
