I found this in grandparents attic between the rafters. House was built in 1840ā€™s Grenada Mississippi. Previous owner was a banker & travelled across the Atlantic several times so I donā€™t know if this is from USA or England somewhere? Itā€™s non-magnetic except for the front axle. Any ideas where it was made or age? Thanks, Robert.

I only just saw your post.

Interesting piece but this is American, no older than mid-20th Century, and itā€™s not a toy.

Itā€™s without doubt the work of the master craftsman Jim Ison. He produced meticulous 1/12th scale replicas of items from museums and other collections for serious collectors of dollā€™s houses and associated items. Your piece will probably be pewter, but may be ā€˜bronzedā€™ or plated.

I donā€™t know exactly when the stroller was first produced but Jim was born in 1926 and died in 2017. His pieces werenā€™t cheap at the time and are highly collected today.

Thereā€™s one listed at the link below which dates from 1979:

PS: I think the front axle has been replaced in non-pewter, following a breakage.
