Found this wood washed up at a Jacksonville beach. It has a 90 degrees angle shape, big and very heavy. Could it be from a shipwreck?

Im tempted to say, given where I am, boomerang, if you were here.
But hey, given messages in bottles and stuff it would be cool if it was one!
But, the shape is mysterious and piqued my imagination!
 

Looks like a tree branch to me. :icon_scratch:
Maybe try to identify what type of wood it is, that might be a clue to it's origin.

Yep l also agree with Ironhorse and ARC.

Look for any nail holes in in.
 

Note how the grain runs out a bit on the right leg? A tree branch would have the grain parallel to the side. It looks like a boat knee to me too. They are used to fasten bottom beams to side beams at their junction in some small boats and ships.
