Found this spoon bowl a while back- how old is it?

I found this spoon bowl a while ago and just recently noticed it has the small raised area on the back. I know old pewter spoons have a similar raised area on the backs of their bowls called a "rat tail." I know this isn't a "rat tail" on the back of my spoon bowl, but does it give a clue as to how old it is? Any thoughts are appreciated!

I've found a decent number of that style at all different sites, but they seem to cluster around the 1830s to 1850s.
