It's stone, seems to be sandstone. I can see the quartz crystals reflect when I tilt it in sunlight

I don't know if there were ever any made of stone products though.

Did you check the immediate area? If it was on a hill or slope did you check uphill from it? You might have walked over the tip of the iceberg. Do some googling for talismans, might give you some clues!

It's a reference to two vaults. The hole is what's known as the fall. Meaning it caves in the whole thing. These two vaults are for God's treasure. It could be Knights Templar or Jesuit. Only one entry is the right one and the priest would know. I've seen this on many stones. What state are you located? State only please. It more than likely was not worn just left in the area for some reason.

Looks like the insulator base for an old electric heating element from an early electric coffee percolator.

That sucker is really old. That is one of those Paleolithic era medallions that the cavemen pimps wore back in those days. That one in particular was personalized with the cave-pimp's name, "Oog".

It's something I have seen before I just can't place it I was thinking something to do with camping or hunting probably some type of ceramic heating element from a battery operated heater. Also made me think along lines of salt lick until OP stated it was stone or ceramic.

Neither. Defiantly stone and not a salt lick........don't ask me how I know it is not salty

Could you show the edges. It has more stuff to see. Especially the top part next to the hole. It's made not for everyone to see. If found would be mistaken for nothing. But to the right person has plenty of information. That person would know to look in another area a round where it was found. There will be more artifacts that go with it. How about any old trees in the area. From where you found it. Go west and east. No more than a hundred ft. Look for anything wither stone or any other material. Being where it was found. It could be glass ,clay or wood. If you find what looks to be clay. It will be in a wet area. They used a fire type clay pieces. As long as they stay wet they stay together. I've made that mistake of letting them dry. If you find anything like that PM me quickly. Another thing one side is like a mushroom and the other is a dragon. That is a clue. Nice find and keep location to yourself. Do be careful with that place. It can be dangerous.

Not much to see on the sides, its heavily calcified.

Been poking around a little bit in my free time and finding a lot of petrified wood in the area as well, this is about a 1/4 of what I have found (some other rocks as well that are not related in the picture)

Beginning to think this is early European because I found this cross bow bolt as well, its marked Excalibur so that obviously means something. :)
